shut up legs
Well I bought my very first road bike. Jamis Ventura Comp. I couldn't be happier. I road it for 2 days then decided it was time to get shoes and pedals. Wow I am glad I did. What a difference it makes. However I did have my first casualty when I got home I forgot I was clipped in and tried to put my foot down..... Thankfully my foot came out but not in time to stop my calf from getting tore up by the gear ring. Oh well no biggie I am sure it is the first of a many, I just hope not too many. I been riding around 20 miles at a shot which I think is good for starting out. I am excited to try a 40 to 50 mile ride this weekend with my riding buddy, He really helps me along and does not try to make me feel bad or anything like that in the process, if anything he is building my confidence. I have always been a runner so I am in pretty good shape, but it is totally different being on a bike. my biggest problem was getting power to the pedals, but with the new shoes and pedals that is coming along nicely. I would like to recommend Delux bike shop in Lebanon on cumberland street. John was a huge help in finding the right bike and is not there to just sell you a bike to make money he is passionate about the sport and really knows what he is talking about. I spent quite a few hours in there talking and looking without any pressure to buy. I will never go anywhere else for anything cycling, and neither should anyone else...
